Pre-owned, excellent condition extremely rare viariant of Rolex's iconic DateJust: Rolex DateJust "Morellis" Finish, or otherwise known "Florentine" Finish, reference 1611 18k Yellow Gold gents wristwatch. Gold dial, with applied baton hour markers and date display at 3 o'clock, housed in an 18k Yellow Gold 36mm case, with a Morellis finish bezel, an 18k Yellow Gold winder and Jubilee bracelet with Morellis finish centre links, deployant clasp with smooth finish and Rolex crown to seal, acrylic glass and automatic movement. This watch has a serial beginning: 508XXXX and was produced in 1977. 

The striking and extremely attractive finish on the bezel and bracelet centre links is known as a "Morellis" or "Florentine" Finish. This finish is hammered by hand, making each one unique. The hard work required to produce this also meant that the factory finish was produced in small numbers, making it rare.
