Black dial, baton hour markers, date display at 3 o'clock, a Stainless Steel & 18k Yellow Gold 42mm case, bracelet and clasp, an 18k Yellow Gold bezel and winder, sapphire crystal glass and automatic movement.
The first Nautilus reference ever produced, the 3700 designed by Gerald Genta and unveiled in the 1970's has since become an icon. This particular reference 3700-11AJ in Steel & Gold is known for the slightly narrower end of bracelet than the 3700-1AJ (by only 2mm) and it's estimated that only 300 pieces were ever produced. In contrast the reference 3700-1AJ (with the slightly larger bracelet) is estimated to have 600 pieces produced, making the former the rarer. It's relatively large case for the time (42mm) earned it the nickname 'Jumbo'.
