Pre-owned, excellent condition Cartier Diabolo reference 1440 18k Yellow Gold ladies wristwatch. White dial, with Roman numeral hour markers, a minute track on the circumference in burgundy red, 150th anniversary motif 'L heart C' at 6 o'clock, an 18k Yellow Gold round 27.5mm case, smooth bezel, crown and shoulders with blue cabochons and Cartier signed classic pin buckle, a Cartier blue leather strap, unworn Cartier black leather strap, a Gold-plated Stainless Steel Cartier deployant clasp, sapphire crystal glass and quartz movement.
1997 marked the 150th anniversary of Cartier; to celebrate Cartier released a limited collection of watches, jewellery, bags, clocks, lighters and pens under Les Collections Privées de Cartier. Each item was produced in limited numbers, and watch dials featured the L♡C Motif. Some suggest the L♡C stands for "Le Cœur de Cartier", which translates from French: "The Heart of Cartier". L & C also - and perhaps not coincidentally - represents the initials of Mr. Louis-François Cartier, Cartier's founder.
